General contractor serving Traverse City, MI since 2022

Northern Den Contracting LLC was founded in 2022 by Traverse City native Josh Haselton. Josh grew up in northern Michigan and built a deep understanding of what this region needs — quality housing that people can actually afford, and remodeling work done right the first time. That local perspective shapes every project we take on.

Northern Den Contracting is part of the Northern Den Family of Companies, a group of real estate-related businesses covering general contracting, land development, realty, and management. Josh launched Northern Den Realty in 2017 as an independent brokerage, driven by a belief that local development can create real, lasting change in a community. The contracting arm grew from that same belief — that building and remodeling should serve the people who live here.

Our goal is straightforward: deliver better-priced housing to the Grand Traverse area and provide responsive, high-quality remodeling to homeowners and property owners across the region. We work on custom home builds, home additions, kitchen and bathroom remodels, basement finishing, interior work, and accessory building construction. Whether you are starting from the ground up or updating a space you already love, we handle the full scope.

We serve Traverse City, Grand Traverse County, Benzie County, and Leelanau County. These are our communities. We are not a company passing through — we are invested in the neighborhoods we build and the homes we improve.

What sets us apart is the combination of a full-service approach and a genuine commitment to cost-effectiveness. We do not cut corners to lower a price, and we do not pad a budget to protect a margin. We find the right solution for your project and your situation, and we communicate with you throughout the process.

If you are ready to build, remodel, or add on, we would love to talk. Call us at (231) 360-0320 or reach out at northerndencontracting@gmail.com to request your free estimate.
